Staying Safe on the Road This Winter

If you’re here at, it’s for one of 2 reasons: You’re either looking to buy parts, or you know what you want and you’re here to find it.

For those of you who regularly check in with us, you know that we use our blog to disseminate useful or otherwise interesting information pertaining to all things Ford replacement parts and the like; however, for this post, we want to offer all of you a few tips on staying safe out there this winter.

Don’t Tailgate

It’s vitally important to maintain a safe following distance on roads that are vulnerable to winter weather. Ice, snow, slush, and otherwise wet conditions change the act of coming to an unexpected complete stop from a routine driving exercise into a dangerous endeavor.

The general rule of thumb is to stay two car lengths or the equivalent of “2 seconds” behind the car in front of you. While this doesn’t guarantee a sudden stop won’t spell damage, it certainly helps you ensure you’re taking every precautionary measure that you can to stay safe.

Accelerate Slowly

It’s important to take your time while driving on wet, wintery roads. Remember: You’re not at the track when you’re at a stop light. Slamming on the gas as soon as the light turns green can spell disaster, especially when you consider the oft-forgotten dangers posed by black ice.

Do yourself, and everyone else, a favor by staying in the right lane as often as you can and ease your way up to the speed the limit this winter.

Don’t Brake Suddenly

This tip goes hand-in-hand with “Don’t Tailgate,” but it is nonetheless worthy of distinction in and of itself.

Abrupt braking in winter weather is the last thing you want to do. Not only do you run the risk of skidding into the back of the car in front of, but you also run the risk of completely losing control of your vehicle.

Be sure to take it slow -- the slower you move, the less sudden you’ll have to brake in the event of an emergency or if a roadway obstruction presents itself.

Finally, it is vitally important to give yourself extra time to get from Point A to Point B during the winter months. Many accidents are caused by hurried drivers, which is a troublesome mindset whose potential dangers are only compounded by hazardous winter roads.

Give yourself an extra 15-20 minutes to get where you’re going this winter.

We hope this post has been helpful. Shop around the rest of our site if you’re looking for Ford Ecoboost parts, like exhausts, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have!

The Fiesta Movement Is Still Going Strong, and It’s Not Too Late to Join!

Ok, maybe the marketing executives at Ford aren’t pumping the same resources into the Fiesta Movement today as they were back in 2014. However, that doesn’t mean the movement is over, right?

If you joined the movement, rest assured that there is an endless number of like-minded Fiesta drivers out there just like you who are still carrying the torch. For you, and the great people like you, we here at Focus ST Shop are pleased to provide the newest, coolest, and best performance parts and accessories for your Ford Fiesta ST. In keeping with that solemn pledge, we see it as our personal duty to take a moment and spotlight a few of the Fiesta parts and accessories you should consider adding to your ride if you haven’t done so already.

Under The Hood

The area beneath the hood of your Fiesta should be a no flex zone because excessive engine flex isn’t good for performance. Thankfully, Boomba Racing makes an Aluminum Racing Torque Damper, which we are pleased to currently have in stock and ready to ship!

Not only does this thing dramatically improve traction and shifting response, but it also completely eliminates wheel-hop during hard launches. Have a look for yourself here.

Interior: Floor Liners

We know, it’s not glamorous, but installing a solid set of floor liners is one of the best things you can do for the interior of your car (especially with winter coming).

Because water, sand, snow, salt, mud, dirt and essentially everything else found in nature is bad for your floors. Lucky for us, the scientists over at WeatherBeater™ have given us the perfect solution to the aforementioned floor hazards. You can see for yourself here.

Feeling Exhausted Yet?

If not, you should --- and we mean that in a good way, because this one’s a twofer!

1. If you haven’t upgraded your exhaust yet, consider this a friendly nudge, and check out the MBRP 2014 Ford Fiesta ST Aluminized Catback Exhaust. Why? First, because it looks cool. Second, because it’ll do wonders for your car by not getting destroyed by the road, the elements, debris, and whatever else Mother Nature and the highway throws at it.

2. Also, we have a CP-e 2014 Ford Fiesta ST Catted QKspl Downpipe. Matching the stock turbo, this downpipe will eliminate a great deal of exhaust flow turbulence. Furthermore, it was made with lasers. Don’t believe us? Check it out here.

That does it for now, but be sure to check back regularly to stay up-to-date on our latest sales, promotions, features, and the newest additions to our inventory, which is a veritable sanctuary for anyone who needs Fiesta or Focus ST performance parts.

The Details on EcoBoost

Over the past few years, Ford has made significant strides in the automotive industry. One of the main reasons for this is the Ford EcoBoost Engine. The following vehicles have all been designed and manufactured with the innovative engine model: Focus ST, Fusion EcoBoost, Mustang EcoBoost, F-150 EcoBoost and the Fiesta ST. Although EcoBoost engines have received a lot of attention as of late, there are still a large number of people that don’t fully understand what they are or how they work. Below, we answer a few important questions about these engines:

1. What is EcoBoost?

EcoBoost is a term used to describe a turbocharged engine that is innovatively combined with a direct fuel injector. This is meant to improve a vehicle’s fuel economy without taking away from its power output. Eco, which means fuel economy, paired with Boost, which means power, equals EcoBoost.

2. What does the term “turbocharged” refer to?

A turbocharged engine sucks in more oxygen which, in turn, gives it more power. Unlike larger engines that require more fuel for more power, one that is turbocharged uses air instead. This helps drivers save on fuel economy without impacting power.

3. What is direct injection?

The majority of vehicles that run off fuel injection use an intake valve (or intake tract) to inject fuel. With direct fuel injection, though, this process is eliminated. Since this method isn’t as complex, it works to improve the efficiency of a vehicle.

Considering how the EcoBoost engine improves power without taking away from its efficiency, the recent success of Ford is really no mystery! The cutting-edge design demonstrates that the automotive industry is making more progressive decisions when developing products. Not only does the EcoBoost engine help to cut down on fuel consumption, but it still gives drivers the power they want out of their vehicle. A vehicle that has more of a “boost,” but is also environmentally friendly, will certainly interest many drivers. Ford has clearly developed an intriguing engine design that appeals to a large audience of drivers.

A Few Things To Keep In Mind Before You Hit The Road This Summer

The first day of summer has graced us all with its glory (even though we’ve had summer heat since May!). Regardless, we want to take a moment to remind all of you out there of what you should be doing to get your car in shape for the summer. After all, if you’ve invested a lot of time, money, blood, sweat, etc. into labor and performance parts for your Focus ST (or any other Ford model, for that matter), the last thing you need is to fall victim to costly damage that could have been easily avoided.

Take a look at the list below for a reminder of what you should check before you hit the road this summer. Once you’re done, browse our selection of EcoBoost performance parts for the Fusion and other models.

Change Your Oil

If you haven’t changed your oil in a while, now is the time to do it. The summer heat can stress your engine enough on its own. There’s no need to compound that issue by running dirty and/or burnt oil through it!

Get the Battery Inspected

Again, the heat puts a lot of stress on vehicles. Don’t let it damage your battery. Take a look at the battery when you change the oil.

Check Your Air Filter

Ideally, your air filter should be replaced every 10,000-12,000 miles. However, not all drivers adhere to that regimen, which can cause problems in the long run.

Check Your Tires

Tire pressure is essential for performance. Be sure your PSI matches the recommendation in your owner’s manual!

Don’t Neglect the Cooling System

If your air conditioning isn’t working, there’s a reason. Don’t just “deal with it.” You might even discover a bigger problem lying in wait once your get under the hood and start looking for the culprit.

Remember: Regular maintenance is the key to sustained performance and longevity. Keep up with your maintenance schedule, and if you find anything that needs replacing or could use an upgrade, take a look at our inventory. We’ve got everything from Ford EcoBoost exhausts to performance short shifters!

Do You Really Need an Exhaust Upgrade?

In the spirit of American craftsmanship, Ford products are well-made, but the fact of the matter is there’s always room for improvement. And, when it comes to aftermarket performance parts for your Focus ST, Fusion or Fiesta, upgrading its exhaust system is something to consider.

Here’s why:

They’re Easy to Upgrade
Going back on the whole spirit of American craftsmanship idea, it’s also inherently American to get down and dirty tackling hands-on projects. You know what we mean. By installing the exhaust upgrade on your own, you’ll be able to scratch that DIY itch without having to learn rocket science. In other words, replacing your stock product with a new Fiesta ST exhaust is as easy as setting up the jack stands, crawling under the car and twisting a few bolts and screws.

They Improve Performance
And by that, we mean they don’t add power. Your engine is what it is. Rather, they improve efficiency. After market exhausts come with less constraints than their stock counterparts. The bottom line is, that means your engine will breathe exhaust more easily through an after market system, which will in turn increase its gas mileage. And if you take good care of the vehicle, say, by installing the right performance parts for your Fusion with Ecoboost, the more efficient exhaust system will pay for itself in due time.

They Use Better Materials
Stock exhaust systems are usually made with the cheapest parts possible, which means they’re less efficient than they can be. If you’re in the market for Fiesta ST performance parts, our inventory of exhaust systems gives you a variety of options from which to choose, material-wise.

They Make Your Car Sound Cooler
Before you write this point off as vain, keep in mind that our cars act as extensions of ourselves, and while individuality is important, it cannot be achieved with stock parts. The same way a car’s look represents who you are, so should its sound. The timbre at which your car growls depends on the exhaust system you install. So, what tune does your car sing to?

Between ease of installation, improved performance, higher quality materials and an unparalleled rumble, the question you should be asking yourself is: “Why wouldn’t I invest in an exhaust upgrade?”

You know you want it.

EcoBoost: What It Is & Why You Need It

In case you’ve spent the last few years buried under your hood (which we understand), Ford owners across the country have been pining over the thought of improving their vehicles’ performance with the incorporation of EcoBoost technology.

Here at Focus St Shop, we do what we can to stay on top of emerging technologies like EcoBoost. Though it’s been out for a while, you may not have known that new EcoBoost parts are being made available all the time. In fact, we just stocked our shelves with some great new Fusion EcoBoost performance parts you should check out. However, if you’re unfamiliar with EcoBoost, or if you’d just like to confirm a few of your suspicions, read on to learn a bit about what it is, why you need it, etc.

What is EcoBoost

To put it simply: EcoBoost is a way to improve fuel economy without sacrificing performance. It is, at its essence, a marriage of turbocharging and fuel injection.

How does EcoBoost work?

Well, engines are more powerful when the more air and fuel they have. EcoBoost uses the turbo to make the engine “breathe” better while simultaneously “feeding” it fuel directly. The end result: a turbocharged, direct-injected monster.

Should I get in on the EcoBoost action?

Well, yeah! Unless, of course, you want to go fast and spend more money on gas; or, you don’t want to go fast and spend more money on gas. The choice is yours, really.

Where can I get EcoBoost parts?

We’re glad you asked! You can check out our selection of EcoBoost parts. We carry EcoBoost parts for models like the Fusion, Focus, Mustang, and F-150. We also have EcoBoost Fiesta ST performance parts.

Here at Focus ST Shop, we proudly keep our inventory constantly updated so Ford enthusiasts everywhere can find the performance parts they need. We also ship nationally and accept PayPal, Discover, Visa, American Express, and Mastercard.

How to Maintain an Aftermarket Turbocharger

Here at, we know that installing an aftermarket turbocharger is one of the most exciting things an amateur gearhead can do for him or herself. With that said, we also know that amateurs and enthusiasts have a tendency to overlook some of the necessary serving that must be performed according to a rigid schedule in order to ensure that his or her Focus ST performance parts are running at optimal levels.

So, we put this list of tips together for maintaining your aftermarket turbocharger.

Let it Idle

You must let the car idle for 3-5 minutes. Why? Because you need to give the oil enough time to get from the oilpan to the turbocharger. When you first start your engine, there is a slight delay between the time you start the engine to the time the oil reaches the turbo charger. Allotting a few extra minutes before you drive off will save you time and money in the long run, because if your turbocharger doesn’t get the oil it needs, it’ll wear down and start malfunctioning.

Change the Air Filer

Be sure to change the air filter on our intake. Mind you, it is of the utmost importance that you inspect the housing for any unnoticed debris that could slip by during the process of changing the filter itself. Changing your air filter will keep your turbo running smoothly because it’ll stay clean, and it will prevent it from overheating. The last thing you want is a clogged filter. The whole point in getting a turbo charger is to pump air into the engine’s intake manifold as quickly as possible. A dirty air filter will only make that process harder!

Mind Your Bolts

At least once every month, you’ll need to inspect – and more often than not – tighten the bolts on your turbo charger. The simple reason for this is because you’ll lose a lot of power due to air leaks at the turbo mount. Tightening your bolts monthly will ensure you maintain the maximum level of performance from your turbo charger.

Clean The Pipes

This might sound crazy, but you really should remove the turbo once every six months to clean the pipes. Soot builds up, which can not only cause a turbo to get super hot, but can also throw gunk and other unwanted substances into the intake; this can clog valves and lead to pre-combustion (misfiring). Avoid this at all costs by thoroughly cleaning those pipes!

Intake and Exhaust Upgrades: What You Need to Know

Upgrading your intake and exhaust systems should be one of the first modifications on your Ford. For this post, we’re going to focus on why exactly that is the case. But before we get into it, ask yourself: Do I know why I’m having each upgrade done; furthermore, do I know how each upgrade will ultimately benefit my ride?

There are a ton of ways to boost your car’s performance. The aftermarket shopping place is awash with bolt-on upgrades and other performance parts for your Ford Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Mustang, etc. However, you should have a well-rounded understanding of what each upgrade does for your car. You want to know how a given upgrade improves performance, and you also want to know about the effects each upgrade has on your car’s other systems. Having a thorough understanding of these things will ultimately inform you about why you need these upgrades to get your end game: having the ride of your dreams. It will also assist you in prioritizing future upgrades.

So, allow us to fill in any gaps you might have in your understanding of intake and exhaust modifications. Or, if you’ve got no gaps, let this serve as a refresher course.

  • Exhaust
An exhaust upgrade is arguably the first mod you should make. Regardless of when it occurs, you need a performance grade exhaust system to help your car breathe. A good exhaust system gives dirty gasses a clear, quick route to escape your car, which leaves room for good gasses. Essentially, a performance grade exhaust will regulate the fuel ratio on your Fiesta ST, so the combustion process will be rich in fuel and lean in other things, such as air and other gasses, that get in the way.
  • Cold Air Intake
Cold air intakes are absolutely necessary to improve performance while traveling at high speeds. Cold air intakes pick up cold air from outside the engine compartment and pump that air into the engine, improving the combustion process. Cool air contains more oxygen than warm air, which burns more fuel at an efficient rate. When a cold air intake works with a performance grade exhaust, the overall performance benefits yielded are quite apparent, especially regarding torque and horsepower.

Cold air intake and exhaust system upgrades are easy to do by yourself. Check out our inventory of aftermarket parts for your Ford. We have a selection of parts and mods designed for the amateur mechanic and the people who wants to do the work themselves.

4 Reasons to Invest in a Cat-back Exhaust

October 2015

Some of us buy cars knowing full well what we plan on doing to and with them. We’ve planned for months, maybe even years, and practically salivated at the thought of dropping a twin-turbo under the hood and basking in that sweet whistling sound at dusk on a highway. And then, there’s the rest of us: All we know is that we want a cool, fast car, and we don’t want to spend too much money on it because we need as much cash as possible for the mods we haven’t bothered researching yet. Besides, turbos are pretty cheap, right?

Those of us in the former category likely know what we need to do before we turbocharge our rides. So we’ve budgeted and planned accordingly. And those of us in the latter category will undoubtedly face the disappointment of hearing a mechanic tells us, “There’s a few things you need to do before we talk about a turbo.” So before you start thinking about increasing your horsepower with a turbocharger, let’s take a moment to appreciate the benefits one of the oft-overlooked heroes of modern automotive technology: the cat-back exhaust system.

If you remember our last blog post about the first mods you should make on your car, you’ll remember we discussed the cat-back exhaust briefly. Well, here at Focus ST Shop, we think it’s necessary to share a few more points about why a cat-back exhaust is one of the best things you can do to make your dream car a real-life speed demon.

  1. You can put the cat-back exhaust on yourself . A cat-back exhaust upgrade is an easy, often quick, power modification procedure that practically anyone could perform, provided he or she has the right tools and information, of course.
  2. Regulated fuel ratio translates roughly to: a combustion system that is rich in fuel and lean in other things like air and exhaust. It is important that your car has a healthy combustion system, and a big part of a healthy combustion system is having an efficient way to get rid of exhaust – that’s what you’ll get from a brand new cat-back.
  3. Improve the performance of the rest of your car with a cat-back exhaust system. Think of your exhaust system as the part of your body’s respiratory system that is responsible for exhaling. Could an Olympic runner compete if he or she had a regular person’s lungs? No. Likewise, how can you expect that brand new turbo or cold air intake in your Fiesta ST to perform at a superior level if you have a stock exhaust?
  4. Eco-friendliness doesn’t exactly come to the front of the mind when one hears “bolt-on performance modifications,” but in the case of the cat-back exhaust, it’s completely true. A good, high-quality exhaust system doesn’t put nearly as much poisonous gas into the atmosphere as a normal exhaust. Bonus upside of a cat-back exhaust: Your newly-found reduced carbon footprint will save you money on state emissions inspections in the long run.

So, if you’re looking for performance parts for your Focus ST, Fiesta or Ford truck, start with upgrading your exhaust system. For a relatively cheap investment, you can install a cat-back exhaust that will noticeably improve your car’s performance, increase your car’s lifespan and even reduce your carbon footprint. Take a look around our site if you’re interested in making an upgrade to your exhaust system today, and let us know if you have any questions!

First Performance Modifications to Make on Your Car

You just bought a Ford and you want to customize it. You want it faster. You want it to look different. You want to decorate the interior. But you don’t know where to start! You’re also interested in doing the work yourself. Luckily, these lofty goals are totally achievable.

Here at Focus ST Shop, we specialize in providing all kinds of parts for Ford enthusiasts, so we know what upgrades need to come first. But many newcomers aren’t sure where to get started in the customization process. So we thought it would be a good idea to go back to the basics and talk about the first things you may want to consider, if you’re planning to personalize your car.

Rims, tires and brakes might be the very first thing you should look into. After all, that’s where all the power from the engine goes! Stock rims and tires aren’t always the best, and you’ll usually want to go wider. What good is all the effort you’re putting under the hood if you can’t get those results on the road (or track)? And when those tires are spinning you’re going to need high-temperature brake pads to slow them down.

Suspension is key when it comes to improving car performance. One of the first things you’ll want to consider is upgrading your car’s shocks, struts and coilovers. You may also want to look into sway bars.

Exhaust - Let’s say you just got yourself a nice new Fiesta, and you want some more power. You’ll want to check out Ford Fiesta exhaust systems. A catback exhaust would probably be your best bet, especially if you’re planning on doing the installation yourself.

Cold air intake upgrades do wonders for engines that are running at high speeds. These can make your car a bit more noisy (especially if you have a catback exhaust!), but the trade-off for the performance it yields is more than worth it in the long run.

Motor mounts are essential for maximizing your engine’s response. These can run a bit pricey, but if you do some shopping, you should be able to find a good deal.

Audio system upgrades are for luxury, not performance. But you’re going to need something to drown out the sound of that intake and exhaust system, unless, of course, that’s exactly the sound you were going for!

Seats are a crucial if you’re planning on doing some racing at your local track. Though this might seem like something you’d do for comfort, it’s something you do for performance, too – your performance.

Hopefully you’ve found this useful. If you’re looking to make any of these upgrades and you want performance parts for your Ford Fiesta ST, Focus or truck, check out our store or drop us a line!

Tips for Selecting an Aftermarket Exhaust System for Your Ford Model

As a car enthusiast, you know you want to amp up your Ford vehicle with a new aftermarket exhaust system, but with so many options available, you aren’t sure which one to choose. Whether you own a Focus ST, Fiesta ST, Mustang, Fusion or F-150, you want a high-quality exhaust that is going to unleash the power of your ride. When it comes to Ford models, you’re in it not only for the ride but to make it uniquely your own. It’s no wonder why exhausts happen to be one of the most trendy performance parts upgrades available in the industry.

Consider the Material
Fortunately for car lovers and fans, Ford leaves a ton of room for improvement in regards to their vehicles. The exhaust you decide to install should be able to adhere to your needs as a driver, budget and car structure. To figure out which exhaust is best for your driving habits, check out these helpful tips. Vehicle exhaust enhancements are constructed from a wide range of materials, such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium and other upscale metals. Each material has a different effect on the Ford model, in terms of weight and resistance. If you want to save money on purchasing a new exhaust, then the best choices would be aluminum or mild steel, but they are more prone to corroding and rusting. If you know you will have to drive in snowy or rainy climates, then you may want to opt for the stainless steel exhaust instead, which is resistant to corrosion. For a lightweight design with resistance to corrosion, titanium is your best bet. Understand the Styles of Exhaust Systems

Once you are knowledgeable of what different style exhaust systems do for your vehicle, you can then make your selection according to your preference. Most aftermarket exhaust systems are designed with a combination of the crossover pipe, mufflers, catalytic converter, tailpipes and intermediate pipes or header. Three of the main systems that are retailed include cat-back exhaust systems, header-back exhaust systems and axle-back exhaust systems. The types of systems all range in how easy or hard the installation is.

Know What You Want the Exhaust to Do

Since exhaust systems vary in styles, they produce different effects on vehicles with similar results. All exhaust systems will allow your engine to breathe better as well as generate extra horsepower. They also work to produce an awesome sound with a louder tone, but the noise level varies depending on which type of exhaust you implement. The rumble melody from the exhaust can range anywhere from a deep growl during acceleration to only slightly louder than normal. Some exhaust systems, such as high-flow systems, can even provide you with better gas mileage.

The Awesome Perks and Features of the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

As a premier auto performance parts retailer for Ford models, we can’t help but turn our ears up as soon as we hear the word “Mustang.” And with the talk going around about the new 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350, we’ve been paying attention. So far, next year’s model is promising to be a track-worthy vehicle, reborn from its previous prototype. The car is said to be a new breed of the original GT350 model and the 2013 Boss 302, with the connection of famous racer and car builder Carroll Shelby, still going strong.

The 2016 Ford Mustang GT350 was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show last November to showcase highly impressive racing-influenced elements. The track-focused pony takes a completely different approach as opposed to the violent velocity of the other new Shelby badge, the GT500. With all the rave about the vehicle having track-like abilities, we thought we’d analyze for ourselves whether it meets that claim. The following is a breakdown of the specs and features that the GT350 has to offer.

What Makes It Go

Within the unique bodywork lies a 5.2-liter V-8 natural aspirated engine with a flat-plane crankshaft. Ford inserted its first suspension to have magnetorheological dampers. The car would do great on racetracks that have apexes rather than those with burnout boxes. The vehicle has drive settings that allow the driver to take it beyond paved roads – theoretically for professionals only. However, Ford has actually honed the model on various racetracks such as Calabogie, Chuckwalla and Grattan.

The engine’s flat-plane crank is a characteristic favored by Ferrari that involves a mechanical work to provide evenly spaced exhaust pulses. The crank pins are attached at 180-degree intervals, allowing for a firing order that bounces to and from the two cylinder banks. This aspect of the engine allows the vehicle to breathe much better. The factors of the engine have led drivers to expect the car to produce more than 500 horsepower and torque of 400lb-ft.

Lovable Traits

The music of the GT350 will have a melody that will sound nothing short of big powered revs. The noise is truly unique – a howl unlike any other. The model will also feature the first-ever application of the magnetorheological damping system by Ford, which is a setup that alters shock stiffness at the turn of every corner independently, depending on the vehicle’s suspension load and yaw angle. By the way, the suspension can be cycled through five different modes to control throttle sensitivity, steering effort, the exhaust, stability-control systems and the programming of the ABS and traction.

If you compare the Shelby to the regular Mustang GT, you will find that it has a wider front track, tweaked bushings and springs, and unspecified lowered ride height. The car displays rigidity with a carbon-fiber, injection-molded composite grille surround, as well as an optional strut-tower brace that is lightweight. The brakes consist of two-piece iron rotors with aluminum hats to deliver fast deceleration. 19-inch aluminum wheels with a specific tread face move the distinct bodywork of the vehicle, which features a steeper hood, front fenders with bigger flares, inlets in the front fascia, front splitter, underbelly aero tray, rear diffuser, and low-profile decklid spoiler.

We can’t wait to see the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 hit the road for all its worth. Maybe one day we’ll retail performance parts for this model. In the meantime, check out our Ford model enhancements, such as the Fiesta ST exhaust.

The 2016 Focus RS to Hit the Market Globally

One of the most anticipated Ford models coming out next year is the new 2016 Focus RS, which will be sold internationally. The vehicle made its debut at the New York Auto Show on April 1 and 2, which gave attendees the first chance to witness the super-hatch in the flesh. We are excited about the release for this model, as we plan on providing performance parts for it as soon as they become available from the aftermarket manufacturers. For now, one can only imagine what power they will be able to unleash when enhancements are applied with the built-in all- wheel drive (AWD) and torque-vectoring.

Like the 2015 Mustang and the Lincoln MKC, the RS will run on the 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which makes it the first Focus model to be manufactured with it. So far, it is guessed that the amount of horsepower it will devour will be between 325 and 350, since it is not dictated by fuel economy. The car will feature updated suspension components, aerodynamic pieces and brakes in comparison to earlier Ford Focus models. At the New York Auto Show, the Focus RS was debuted in two colors that the model will be produced in – Stealth Gray and Nitrous Blue.

For the guys in the shop who like to make their vehicle uniquely their own, the Ford Focus RS will be a treat, and rather irresistible. We at feel that the 2016 Focus RS will be a performance car flavor that is bound to satisfy. The wicked design of the RS body seems relaxed but fun, almost as if you are wearing your hat backwards. Like the vehicle enhancements we sell for the Focus ST and the Fiesta ST, we can’t wait to supply performance parts for the Focus RS. We hope our customers planning to get behind the wheel of the RS are ready to gear their ride up with our aftermarket brakes, tuning, induction, drivetrain and engine parts.

Let’s touch base on some of the 2016 Focus RS specs, shall we? The hot hatchback will have a revised cylinder head, new low-inertia twin-scroll turbocharger and bigger intercooler. The model will have front-to-rear torque distribution management, as well as an AWD system with a standard six-speed manual gearbox. Drivers will love the powertrain upgrade of a high-performance six-speed transmission, as well as the intense drift mode it will feature. The style of

the car’s body exhibits visual aggression, which includes a chunky rear spoiler. The bushings, springs and anti-roll bars will be much stiffer compared to the Focus ST.

When the 2016 Focus RS does hit the global market later in the year, we plan on retailing performance parts for the model as soon as they become released. Until then, we continue to stay up to date on the latest Ford trends and models so we can meet our customer’s needs. Check out our performance parts inventory for the Focus ST, Fiesta ST, Mustang EcoBoost, Fusion EcoBoost and Ford trucks.

What’s in Store for the 2016 Mustang?

Once a car performance enhancement project is finished, gear heads tend to move onto the next thing, always looking ahead. That’s because when it comes to cars, we just can’t ever seem to get enough! While we at have been rolling in new parts for the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost, we can’t help but wonder what is in store for the new 2016 Mustang, which is expected to arrive very soon. We are passionate about Ford models, as you can tell, and we can’t wait to add the 2016 Ford Mustang to our list of vehicles that we supply enhancement parts for.

We are always thinking ahead, keeping our knowledge up-to-date, and remaining educated on new Ford models and performance parts so we can provide for our customers. Just like the previous Ford models, we anticipate the release of the 2016 Mustang and cannot wait to begin supplying performance parts for it as they become released in the future. You can rely on us to have the performance parts you need, since we add them as soon as they become available for retail from our aftermarket manufacturers.

We’d like to share what we’ve heard so far about the 2016 Ford Mustang. The design and overall specifications for the 2016 Mustang are expected to be the same, but with new options, standard features and packages provided by Ford that lovers of the model have been requesting.

2016 Mustang GT Features
One feature that has made a huge comeback is the hood-vent turn signal indicators on the 2016 GTs, which are now a standard element seen on all Mustang GT models. The hood-vent turn signal indicators pay homage to the 1967 Mustang. Next year’s Mustang GT will be subject to the GT/CS package, a.k.a the California Special, which includes stripe graphics, special wheels, a unique front grille and blacked out trims. In addition, drivers can opt for the 2016 Performance Package, which offers the choice of a non-black tire with the convenience of a new Luster Nickel finished wheel.

For Mustang GT drivers that like an all-black look, the model will also be available with the option of the Black Accent Package, which offers the deck-lid spoiler, 19-inch black-painted alloy wheels, dark tail-lamp trim and pony logos, as well as 5.0 all in black color.

2015 Mustang EcoBoost Features
The Eco Boost Mustang of 2016 will be available with the return of the Pony Package, which consists of a tri-bar pony logo grille, 19-inch polished aluminum wheels, chrome window surround for the fastback and side stripes. Along with the new GT, the EcoBoost will be accessible with extravagant racing stripes that are factory direct in silver or black. Drivers can choose to have their vehicle come with a painted black roof. The My Ford Touch will be replaced with the new SYNC 3 driver interface with the included infotainment system.

Word on the street is that the 2016 Ford Mustang models will arrive in dealerships later on in the summer in only one new color – Shadow Black.

Why the 2015 Ford Mustang Ecoboost Has Nothing on the V8

The Little Engine That Can
The 2015 Mustang Ecoboost has many shared similarities to its’ brother model, the 2015 Mustang GT, despite having two different engines. Both models are available in automatic or manual, and come with the Performance Pack. For many drivers, the judgement of whether or not the car they have has the fastest, high-performance engine under the hood is no longer a concern. And with the turbocharged, four-cylinder 2.3L Ecoboost engine in the 2015 Mustang, why should it be? The Ecoboost engine is fuel-efficient, light weight and still picks up speed.

Excellent Drive Performance

When you drive the 2015 Mustang Ecoboost, you’ll immediately notice the vicious grip it has on the asphalt. The normal understeer and body roll performance that would be found in a V8 model is nonexistent, replaced with sharp turn-in. It is clear that the Ecoboost shouldn’t be underestimated when it comes to performance. Sometimes, size really doesn’t matter.

Stunning Extiror Design
The aesthetics of the new Mustang Ecoboost are admirable and nothing short of handsome. Everything from the brake calipers, wheels, taillights and sheet metal are astonishing in appearance. The vehicle does lack the drama of the beloved rumbling sound that V8’s make, but that’s what car accessories and performance parts are for! Aside from the noise aspect, the Mustang Ecoboost is described by drivers to be a smooth, excellent ride.

Some vehicle owners enjoy and appreciate a less threatening car design that doesn’t overwhelm, such as the Mustang Ecoboost. However, other drivers like to add to it to make it their own customized ride. The 2015 Mustang V8 may still try to overshadow the 2015 Mustang Ecoboost, but the truth is that the Ecoboost comes into its own with topnotch features. In the end, the V8 has nothing on the Ecoboost in terms of performance, appearance and fuel efficiency.

Stunning Exterior Design

We at have recently added new performance parts for the 2015 Mustang Ecoboost to our selection. We have everything from brakes and suspensions, to exhaust systems and Blow Off Valves. Ecoboost owners who want to enhance their ride can rely on us for the highest quality of products made from the best materials. We also have electronics available for the model, as well as car accessories. Be sure to visit our Mustang Ecoboost page to explore all of our parts for the 2015 Ford Mustang Ecoboost. We’ll be adding more parts and products as they become released. April 2015

What if the 2015 Ford F150 ran on the 2.3L EcoBoost?

eightless Features of the 2015 Ford F150
If you’re the guy in the shop that loves enhancing your vehicle with aftermarket performance parts, installing the 2.3L Ecoboost engine into the 2015 Ford F150 would probably seem like a beneficial improvement. And why wouldn’t it? With the new features of the F150 truck that make it fuel efficient and lighter in weight, the four-cylinder 2.3L EcoBoost could accommodate it with an integrated exhaust manifold and a twin-scroll turbocharger. The combination of the all-aluminum body of the truck with an EcoBoost engine that allows quick response and more horsepower power is like the ultimate dream of an automobile upgrade, where you wonder if someone could pinch you.

Generated Fuel Economy

Right now the 2015 Ford F150 is manufactured with the 2.7L EcoBoost, the 3.5L Ti-VCT V6, the 3.5L EcoBoost, or the 5.0L Ti-VCT V8. This light-duty pickup has the highest estimated fuel economy ratings of the Environmental Protection Agency, according to Ford. Depending on what you plan to use the truck for, the engines can be selected to acquire the performance needed to function. For some truck owners, the two new engines added to the four-engine lineup – the 2.7L and the 3.5L Ti-VCT V6 - may not be enough to satisfy in terms of fuel efficiency.

Some Ford fans believe that inserting the 2.3L EcoBoost into the 2015 F150 will conquer the midsized truck market by generating a Super Fuel Economy vehicle that would offer more fuel efficiency. In the article, “The 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost 4 Could Make a Great 2015 F150 SFE,” on the website TorqueNews, passionate automotive blogger, Patrick Rall, shares his opinion on the idea of the F150 having a 2.3L EcoBoost engine:

“Ford could introduce a new Super Fuel package (SFE) of the 2015 F150 pickup in a regular cab, short bed configuration that would derive its power from the 2.3L EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine that will power the 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost.”

What the 2015 F150 Has to Offer

The advantages that come with the new 2015 F150 aluminum body truck are definitely an improvement. The truck’s aluminum-alloy body and steel frame make the weight of the pickup up to 700 pounds lighter, allowing it to have an increased capability for towing and payload. The upgraded lightweight characteristic of the truck provides it with a better power-to-weight ratio for heightened braking responsiveness, faster acceleration and easier handling.

Your Source for High-Quality Parts

We are not sure if and when Ford will release the F150 with the 2.3L EcoBoost, but we do anticipate the release of the aftermarket parts for this model. In our inventory at, we sell performance parts for the F-150 2011 to 2014 models. We look forward to retailing the exhaust and intake performance parts for the customized 2015 F150 that runs on the 2.3L EcoBoost. We are always updating our selection with more parts on our website, so keep checking back for more.
